So I just spent the last week trying out two limited trials; Age of Conan and Lord of the Rings Online. I was really excited about AoC and decided that would be my first trial. Graphics are gorgeous with DX10, sprinting and jumping are always a plus in any MMO, and the combat system is very interesting. Another thing worth mentioning is Funcom's way of implementing a death penalty that can be recovered was very genius. There wasn't much I didn't like about AoC. That being said, the main quest/storyline didn't seem to grasp my attention for very long and I was ready to move on to the next trial to see what I was missing. I didn't have high hopes for the MMO riding the curtails of a major franchise (that and the whole fantasy genre is a bit overplayed). Imagine my surprise when I came in to a very complex MMO experience. At first I was very overwhelmed with everything the game had to offer me, but over time I have become familiar with most aspects and hope to understand them all soon. My choice was made and I am now a subscriber to Turbine's Lord of the Rings Online.
Nice, I am considering having a go at LOTR Online, I used to play EVE Online alot and had a short go on AoC, even though the graphics and enviroment were great, I could never get on with the game.
